Pearl in her stroller De'Rochelle Cattery is a Cat Fancier's Association (CFA) registered cattery that raises pedigreed silver chinchilla persians holistically in San Diego, California.

My cats are family and my lifelong passion. My first cat was a bicolor Persian mix named Pocahontas that I received as an early gift for my 7th birthday. Her love and beauty changed my life forever. Pearl-Bijou I dressed her up, walked her on a leash, and took hundreds of pictures of her over 25 years ago before it was a thing. I've had cats all my life, and cannot imagine living without them. In 2012 I made the switch to raising them with a native raw diet and holistic veterinary care. From that point on, I saw a huge transformation in the health, happiness, and vibrance of my kitties. I knew in 2022 that I needed another persian in my life and decided to become a part of preserving these regal cats.

De'Rochelle Cattery is proud to raise cats with the exemplary genes of the Dearheart line with natural nutrition, holistic healthcare, early training, and deep emotional bonding. The Dearheart cat family was created by Jeannie Ramsdale in the 1970's, who wrote several books and was considered an authority on Persians at the time. After her passing, only a few other breeders were lucky enough to have some of Jeannie's extraordinary dollface persians, and work began to preserve this precious line of cats. My chinchilla persians are some of the rare few that are color bred. I get consistent coat markings, eye liner, and eye color with every litter. De'Rochelle persians have genes for the extremely rare blue-green dichromatic eye coloring, which was once thought to be extinct, but is in fact fequently found in the Dearheart line. Both of my cat parents have this impressive rare eye color. My cats also have exemplary dark black eye liner, while maintaining a very light coat with just a hint of silver tipping, a combination which is difficult to achieve. Along with their Dearheart roots, my kitties also have ancestry with the Lady Di family line, which has now been retired and is only available from a couple breeders. Lady Di persians have excellent features, the most noteworthy being very large dramatic eyes with a distinct shape. You can see these stunning eyes featured in photos of my father cat Magnus-Alphonse. I think my cats are very special and simply the best.

I keep my cats exclusively indoors, with occasional walks in the yard to give them fresh air and sunshine. They enjoy going on trips to Balboa Park in their stroller, and on hikes at Mission Trail Regional Park. I absolutely love spoiling them! They begin training to accept crates, to tag along in purses, and ride in the car from a young age to help make them more relaxed during travel. My kitties really have fun learning and performing tricks. Clicker training is a very rewarding activity for them, and it is a great way for kitties and their parents to bond.

Every cat and kitten in my home is a member of my family. My mother cat has no more than 1 litter of kittens per year, and I keep my cat family small so all cats get the love and attention they need and deserve. Kittens include a health guarantee and will be placed in homes under contract. New kittens will go home with life long support from me to help you raise a happy, healthy, enriched and fulfilled cat.
